1. Privacy at a glance

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator (see “Controller”). Some data is collected because you provide it to us (e.g. when registering or contacting us); other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the site (e.g. browser, operating system, time of access).

Part of the data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the website, another part to provide your account, partner search and chat features.

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data. Full provider details can be found in the Impressum.

3. Hosting and external service providers

This website is hosted externally (Lovable as platform and hosting provider). Database, authentication and file storage run on Supabase. When the website is accessed, the servers process technically necessary data such as IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type and operating system.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. Data processing agreements are in place with these providers; transfers to third countries are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

4. User account and profile

On registration we process your e-mail address, password (encrypted) and the profile data you provide (name, country, disciplines, age group, description, photos). Purpose: providing your personal area, partner search and community features. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

If you sign in with Google, we receive your e-mail address, name and profile picture. Legal basis: performance of contract or your consent.

5. Publication in the ranking (consent)

Your name appears in the public World Ranking only if you explicitly confirm this at registration or in your profile. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future; publication will then end.

6. Partner ads, photos and chat

Ads and photos you create are visible to signed-in users. Chat messages are stored so they can be shown to your conversation partners and are accessible only to the participants of that conversation. Your contact details (e.g. phone number) are stored separately and are never shown publicly.

7. Donations / sponsoring and advertising bookings

Payments are processed by our payment provider Paddle.com Market Ltd. Paddle processes payment and invoicing data as merchant of record / own controller; we never receive full card data. Invoice-related data is retained for seven years under § 132 BAO (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

For advertising enquiries by e-mail we process your details to handle the request and issue invoices.

8. Cookies and local storage

We only use technically necessary cookies / local storage to keep your session and your language selection. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser's address bar; data you transmit cannot be read by third parties.

10. Storage period

Unless a more specific period is stated, your data remains with us until the purpose of processing no longer applies. Account data is stored for the lifetime of your account. After deletion, profile, photos and ads are removed; chat messages are deleted or anonymised where technically possible. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.

11. Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Please contact office@betnev.at.

This website was created with the support of artificial intelligence (AI). Disclosure pursuant to the EU AI Act, Article 50, applicable from 2 August 2026. No automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
