1. Acceptance

By accessing, registering for or continuing to use the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service. You must be of legal age in your country, and where you act for an organisation you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

2. The Service

Equality Dance World is an information and community platform for equality / same-sex and Open Gender ballroom dancing. It publishes a world ranking based on competition results and lets registered users maintain a personal account, publish partner-search advertisements, upload photos and exchange messages. Access is free of charge; sponsorship contributions are voluntary (see section 6).

3. Accounts and accuracy

You must provide accurate information, keep it up to date and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Ranking entries are only shown with your name when you have given the corresponding consent.

4. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service. In particular you must not:

• use the Service unlawfully or for fraud, spam or harassment;
• infringe intellectual property or personality rights of others;
• upload content you do not have the rights to, or content of third parties without consent;
• interfere with the security or integrity of the Service (malware, probing, scanning, scraping, circumventing technical limits, reverse engineering);
• resell or redistribute the Service or its content.

We may remove or restrict content and refuse or filter submissions where these rules are breached.

5. Intellectual property; your content

We retain all rights in the Service, its software, design, branding and the compiled ranking database. You keep the rights in the content you upload and grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process and display it solely to operate the Service. Rights holders may report infringing content to a2bc@betnev.at; we will review and remove content where appropriate and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

6. Sponsorship payments

Sponsorship contributions (€5–€100 per transaction) are voluntary one-off payments in EUR. They are not a purchase of a service, grant no membership benefits and never affect ranking points, results or sporting status. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Checkout Buyer Terms. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. See also our Refund Policy.

7. Availability and AI disclosure

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of inaccuracies. Parts of this website were created with the assistance of artificial intelligence (labelling pursuant to the EU AI Act, Article 50, applicable from 2 August 2026). AI-assisted. Human-controlled. Ranking results are never decided by AI. Ranking entries are reviewed by humans; if you believe an entry is wrong, contact us.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access in the event of material breach of these Terms, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may delete your account at any time; we will then delete or anonymise your personal data as described in the Privacy Notice.

9. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages (including loss of profits, data or goodwill). Our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Liability for intent, gross negligence, fraud, death or personal injury remains unaffected where mandatory law applies. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content or your unlawful use of the Service.

10. Changes, law and disputes

We may update these Terms; the current version is always published on this page. Austrian law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. Place of jurisdiction is Vienna, Austria, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
